Practical examinations of High School and Intermediate examinees would be conducted in two phases from January 21 to February 5 this year in the first phase. Likewise, the second phase of practical examinations would be conducted from February 5 to February 20 this year.
Total number of candidates who have registered for the examination is around 5.37 more lakh than the previous year, as the total number of candidates for the 2013 exam stands at 62,08,229 compared to 56,70,535 in 2012.
This year a total of 37,09,877 students would appear in High School examinations, In 2012, a total of 36,03,857 candidates appeared in HS examinations.
This year's examination would be that the Board has allotted 15 minutes extra time to candidates, which means that the total duration of the examination would be 3 hours 15 minutes. Similarly, 20 minutes per hour additional time would be given to handicapped and blind examinees, which means that the total time allotted to them would be four hours.
High school examinations, the board has decided to issue coded answer sheets in some of the sensitive districts including Aligarh, Hathras, Etah, Allahabad, Kaushambi, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Deoria and Azamgarh.
