Under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana 6 New All India Institutes of Medical Sciences have been established similar to AIIMS, New Delhi.Government of India has decided that the Academic Session in six New AIIMS at Bhopal, Patna, Jodhpur, Rishikesh, Raipur and Bhubaneswar starts in August 2013. The proposal is for an intake of 100 students for each of the institutions. The Ministry after deliberation took the view that for the second academic session (2013-2014), selection for admission should be done through the same entrance examination through which candidates are selected for AIIMS New Delhi. The Admission will be done on the basis of merit-cum-choice of the candidates.

Candidates should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior qualifications School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a recognised University/Board of any Indian State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Qualification Minimum Marks:
Candidates have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in the case of Aggregate General & OBC and 50% in case of SC/ST candidates in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

A candidate can submit application through Online mode by Visiting www.aiimsexams.org.
The Application fee is Rs.1000/- (Rs.800/- SC/ST candidates). The candidate can pay the application fee through a Credit- Debit Card or Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India.
Candidates should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission. (Candidates born on or after 2nd January, 1997 are NOT eligible to apply.)

Uploading the Admit Cards May 16th, 2013 on AIIMS website www.aiimsexams.org The admit cards will be made available through internet only and not by post.
Entrance Examination will be of 3½ hours duration and will have one paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and reason-assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge.

Incorrect responses will be given negative marks. Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark and each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (minus-one-third). No credit will be given for the questions not answered. More than one response will be treated as wrong answer and negatively marked.
Language of Question Paper:
Question paper will be provided either in English or in Hindi according to the choice of candidates. A candidate must select in the space provided in the application form whether he/she prefers to have the question paper in English or Hindi.
The result will be displayed on the Notice Board of Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi and at all the Six New AIIMS sites and will also be available on the internet at www.aiims.ac.in, www.aiims.edu, www.aiimsexams.org and also on www.mohfw.nic.in.
The candidate belonging to General category will be required to have 50% minimum cutoff marks, those belonging to OBC category will be required to have 45% minimum cutoff marks and those belonging to SC/ST will have to ensure atleast 40% minimum marks in the MBBS Entrance Examination. The same rule will apply for the six new AIIMS also.
