All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Issued Notification for conducting the National level Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2013). The notification is issued to announce the schedule for conducting computer based online GPAT for admission for academic year 2013-14. since 2010-11 in paper pencil mode for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all postgraduate pharmacy programmes approved by AICTE.
AICTE has been conducting computer based online common management admission test (CMAT) as entrance test for admission into post graduate management programmes. Considering the success of online CMAT, AICTE has decided to conduct GPAT also online from 2013. The testing window will be open for three days from May 16th to 18th, 2013 in 57 cities. Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) and those who are in the final year of B.Pharmacy course ONLY are eligible for appearing Examination. B. Pharmacy 1st year to 3rd year students are Not Eligible to appear in GPAT-2013 Examination. Any inquiry in this regard will not be entertained.

Multiple choice test of 3 hours duration with 125 questions. For each correct answer 4 marks are awarded and for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. The question paper will consist of multiple choice objective questions only. Each question will have four choices for the answer. The candidates will have to mark the correct choice on the computer against each question. Four (04) marks will be awarded for each right answer and zero (00) marks for no attempts. There will be negative marking for the wrong answers. One (01) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates can appear in the examination against valid admit cards downloaded from the GPAT website. Candidates must paste photograph on the printed admit card, sign it and duly attest by principal / Director of the Institute or Gazetted officer and bring on the test day along with identity proof (passport, driving license, voter’s card).
