Who is Eligible:
Only 1,50,000 of the top rankers in JEE(Main), which includes students from all categories( GE,OBC(NCL), SC and ST ) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced).
Distribution of top 1,50,000 candidates across various categories is as follows:
* Top 75750 (50.5 %) Common Merit List
* Top 40500 (27%) Other Backward Classes-
Non creamy layer OBC (NCL)
* Top 22500 (15 %) Scheduled Caste (SC).
* Top 11250 (7.5 %) Scheduled Tribe (ST).
3% of the total candidates in each category are reserved for PD candidates .
June 2nd, 2013 Sunday Paper 1: 9.00am to 12.00noon hrs, Paper 2: 2pm to 5.00pm hrs.
Exam Pattern: The JEE (Advanced)-2013 will have two objective type papers. Each paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Duration of each paper will be 3-hours. Question papers will be in both English and Hindi.
The questions will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. In some sections, incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks.
