|GOA CET 2014 Notification|
Government of Goa, Panaji, Conduct Goa Common Entrance Test (GOA CET) in 2014 as the single exam for entry to all professional degree courses like medicine, dentistry, homeopathy, pharmacy and engineering. Directorate of technical education (DTE) has decided to hold Goa CET on May 7 and 8, 2014. Goa Government had decided to join the central test for entry into engineering colleges as well in 2014. The state was in the process of deciding the admission process to homeopathy and pharmacy degree courses for 2014 and doing away with Goa CET.
With NEET no more the single entry to medicine and dentistry courses, it does not make much sense for Goa to hold multiple processes for admissions to different professional courses. The state may only consider changing the admission system if NEET is made the single entrance exam to medical and dentistry colleges again by the Supreme Court.
Goa CET is an objective multiple-choice exam with each paper containing 75 questions of one mark each and no negative marking. Goa CET is based on syllabus prescribed by Goa board of secondary and higher secondary education Class XII syllabus for physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and computer science.
