The Kerala State Government Conduct Kerala Teacher Eligibity Test (KTET) On September 28th, 2013. Lakh of Candidates are attend this exams. K-TET is an examination to assess the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala. Separate test will be conducted to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes) Category III (High School classes) and Category IV ( for Language Teachers - Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu ( up to UP classes), Specialist Teachers (Art and Craft) and Physical Education teachers. A person who scores 60% or more in the K-TET examination will be considered ‘KTET passed’ or ‘K-TET qualified’. This will be the qualifying marks for all categories. Negative Marks: There shall be no negative marks for the test.
A fully computerized system is adopted for the valuation of the answer scripts using optical mark reader (OMR) for the preparation of the results. The answer keys of all the papers will be published in the official website of Pareeksha Bhavan immediately after the examination. Complaints if any from candidates, regarding the answer keys may be send to the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram in writing within 5 working days from the date of publication of the answer keys. Complaints not substantiated with supporting documents will not be considered. Complaints if any, received from the candidate will be placed before a panel of experts constituted by the Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan, and the decision of the experts shall be final. Complaints received after five working days from the date of publication of keys will not be entertained.
Valuation will be made error free under the above system, there is no provision for revaluation or rechecking of the answer scripts or recounting of the marks scored. The details of the marks and the eligibility status secured by all the candidates appeared for K-TET will be published in the website of Pareeksha Bhavan. Those candidates declared ‘passed’ shall produce the required documents for verification and for the issue of K-TET certificate. The Secretary, Pareeksha Bhavan is authorized to exclude from evaluation of any questions found to be wrong or questions with answers not appropriate as recommended by the panel of experts. When questions excluded from evaluation the marks allotted to that question/s will also be excluded from evaluation.
