Maha TET 2013 Conducted by Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE), Pune. The Maharashtra government had stated that the test would help filter the best candidates and that public and private schools will be allowed to recruit only those teachers who have cleared the test. There are a total of 3,38,658 sanctioned posts of the teachers in the state, of which 32,746 are vacant. TET is not mandatory for existing teachers and applicable for those aspiring to join as teachers from now onwards.
All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of the TET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
Qualifying Marks :
A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. A person belonging to SC,ST,VJ,NT,OBC, differently abled persons, who scores 55% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
