The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala, announced results of the Common Entrance Test (NIMCET- 2014) for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at http://nimcet2014.nita.ac.in. NIMCET 2014 Indian nationals who have secured at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate (55 per cent for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe applicants) in B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.)/BCA/Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) of minimum three years full time or BE/B.Tech. holders with 60 per cent marks (55 per cent SC/ST) or those appearing for the qualifying examination in 2014 are eligible to appear for the test.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala, has invited applications online at http://nimcet2014.nita.ac.in for the Common Entrance Test (NIMCET- 2014) for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) offered by eleven NITs at Calicut, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal, Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, and Surathkal for the year 2014-15. This national-level test will be held on May 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
NIMCET-2014 will be conduced with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering from Mathematics (50 questions), Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning (40), Computer Awareness (10), General English (20). Each correct answer carries four marks and each wrong answer will lead to a negative mark.

The test centres will include Calicut, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal, Surat, Surathkal, Patna, Delhi, Raipur, Bhopal, Allahabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kolkata.
Online application facilities are available till April 3. Take a printout of the generated application and send it along with relevant documents by registered post to the Secretary, NIMCET- 2014, National Institute of Technology, Agartala, Barjala, Jirania Tripura (W), 799046 so as to reach on or before April 17. Download admit card between May 10 and 15. Syllabus and test pattern are given in the brochure. Ranks will be announced on June 11, 2014.
Candidates will be offered seats based on allotments. The first round of allotment is on June 26 and the candidate should report on June 30 and July 1. Second round of allotment is on July 4 and candidates should report on July 7 and 8. Third round of allotment is on July 10 and candidates should report on July 17 and 18. Details of online seat allotment schedules are given on the website.
There are 867 seats for MCA programmes in all the eleven NITs, in India. NIT, Calicut, has 46 seats and NIT, Tiruchirappally, 92 seats.
