The GSHSEB has deployed 150 squads to check cheating. After using tablets in the Class 12 examinations, the board has now decided to place 1100 tablets in examination halls classes to prevent untoward incidents. Board officials said that the examinations will be of three hours and, in the first hour, students will have to answer 50 questions. The remaining 50 questions would be of descriptive type and the students will be given two hours time to answer them.
In order to prevent teachers from helping students in cheating, the board has also decided that all subject teachers will be called for training in Gandhinagar during the exams. This was started in 2013 and has yielded good results. Board officials say that with all the teachers at one place, it becomes easy to prevent them from helping students in the exams. Earlier, subject teachers used to stay at the centre and help students in mass cheating. To prevent this, the training programme for subject teachers was launched.
