The Maharashtra government's online common entrance test, called MT-CET 2014, for admissions to the first-year of the four-year full-time degree course in pharmacy at the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved colleges in the state, will be held on April 20, 2014.

Last year (2013-14), the DTE had declared an overall intake of 10,565 seats for 153 pharmacy colleges in the state. The student intake and number of colleges are likely to change for 2014-15 after the AICTE's process for sanction of new colleges and revision of student intake at existing colleges.

The Results related to information and Rank Card will be released on the DTE's website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in. Last year (2013-14), the DTE had declared an overall student intake of 10,565 seats for 153 pharmacy colleges in the state. The student intake and number of colleges are likely to change for 2014-15 after the AICTE's process for sanction of new colleges and revision of student intake at existing colleges.

In view of this key change, the MT-CET is now confined to only the pharmacy degree course admissions in the state. Also, the test will be conducted through an online mode for the first time unlike the conventional pen and paper mode till last year. The government will be conducting a separate entrance test, called the MH-CET, for admission to medical, dental, ayurveda, homeopathy, unani and allied health science courses in the state.
