Students of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC, standard XII) and Secondary School Certificate (SSC, standard X) have demanded model answer sheets from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Since the last year, the state board had started a scheme where students can receive a copy of their answer sheets after filling a prescribed form and paying a fee after the results have been declared.
MSBSHSE have time and again sought such a facility. Last year, when the students had made such demands, the state board replied that "model answer sheets were completely confidential and cannot be made public. In case of language subjects, marks depend on the assessor and is a very subjective issue. "However, subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics are more objective and it would not be a difficult task to publish model answer sheets.
Students who pass the HSC exams in all the subjects, but still wish to improve their marks can take advantage of the class improvement scheme introduced in 2008. They can reappear for the September-October 2014 exams provided they have passed in all the subjects in the February-March 2014 exams. Students can also get a photocopy of their answer sheet after the results are declared. Contact their respective colleges for details of acquiring photocopy of the answer sheets. https://mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in
