Thanajvur Dist a total of 31,203 candidates will appear for the village administrative officers’ selection examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) in Thanjavur district on June 14. They will write the examinations in 110 halls Thanjavur town 42, Kumbakonam 26, Pattukoattai 14, Tiruvaiyaru 9, Papanasam, 6, Orathanad and Peravurani 5 each, and Tiruvidaimaruthur 3. The whole examination process will be videographed and special arrangements will be made for the benefit of the visually challenged candidates appearing for the examination. A total of 16 flying squads and 22 mobile squads have been formed to check malpractices in the examinations. They will write the examinations in 110 halls in Thanjavur district on June 14.
Virudhunagar Dist A total of 39,407 candidates have applied for the examination for the post of Village Administrative Officer (VAO) to be held on June 14, 2014. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the examination, conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission at 93 venues in eight centres in the district. 147 chief invigilators had been appointed to check malpractice in the examination halls. In a statement, he said eight flying squads, led by officials in the rank of Deputy Collectors, and 20 mobile teams too had been formed. All the examination venues would be provided with police protection. Differently abled candidates would be accommodated in the halls on the ground floor. Asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the venues.
Police protection has been provided to District Treasury where question papers have been stocked. Tahsildars have been asked to provide drinking water, proper seating facility and other basic facilities at the venues.
Krishnagiri Dist A total of 21,209 candidates would appear for the written examination for the recruitment of Village Administrative Officers on June 14. The examination would be held at five centres at the taluk headquarters, and 74 examination halls.
