The Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET) 2015 commenced on May 5th,  at 10 cities and towns in Andhra Pradesh with 87 per cent attendance. Ninety per cent attendance was recorded for the test held for admission into six-year integrated engineering dual degree courses and twinning programmes. The test was held at Visakhapatnam, Kakinada and Vijayawada.

A number of candidates whose hall tickets could not be downloaded from the AU websites, were allowed to appear for the entrance test. Special arrangements were made to every student to appear for the test, a AU press release said. Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju, along with Director of AU Directorate of Admissions O. Aniel Kumar, Associate Directors G. Nageswara Rao, Vazeer Mahammood and Ch. Appa Rao visited the test centre at BVK College in the city. Tests in life sciences, geology, humanities and social sciences, mathematical sciences under AUCET . Tests in chemical sciences, Telugu, English and physical sciences will be held on May 6th, 2015.

The following is the attendance percentage for different tests: Life sciences 86.14 (2774 out of 3220 registered); geology 86.8 (217/250); humanities and social sciences 88.98 (5682/6385); mathematical sciences 87.77 (2571/2929). Admission into the following tests will be made on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying degree examination and the candidates will be called for interview directly: M.Sc. in geography for BA, B.Sc. streams; M.Tech. in atmospheric science, ocean science and petroleum exploration and production; M.A. in Sanskrit, Hindi, dance, music, women studies: M.P.Ed., B.F.A., M.F.A., M.Ed. in special education; PGDCRS; five-year integrated courses of B.Sc. plus M.Sc. in geology and B.A. plus M.A. in economics.

Andhra University Common Entrance Test (AUCET)-2015 concluded on May 6th, Wednesday with 90 per cent attendance on the second and last day. The test for admission into PG programmes of AU and Dr. Ambedkar University (Srikakulam) and six-year integrated programmes and twinning programme in engineering of AU were held at 11 centres in 10 cities and towns in the State. The tests were conducted peacefully and without a hitch .
