Total 1,57,580 students will be writing the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) in 343 exam centres across the State on May 12 and 13. The entrance exam to government and government-quota seats in professional courses was to be held on April 29 and 30, but had to be postponed due to a nationwide transport bandh on April 30, 2015.
Sushama Godbole, Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), said this year, students writing the Kannada exam would not have to travel to different centres on a different day. Instead, they would be allowed to write the exam on May 13 after the last exam (Chemistry) at 4.45 p.m.
As a departure from the practice of previous years, brochures will be distributed to all students in the exam halls after the Chemistry exam. A total of 343 observers, 686 special investigation squad members, 343 custodians, 9,911 invigilators and 16,900 officials and officers have been roped in for various exam duties.
